Smart Detection
- Search ‘Samples From Mars’ Packs for Kit Folders. If a Samples From Mars pack contains pre-grouped kit folders, kits are made from them.
- Filter 16 Bit Duplicate Folders. Some packs include the same samples twice, in 24-bit and 16-bit. When both are found, only the 24-bit samples are used.
Sorting
- Randomize Samples, Sort Leftover Samples by Filename and Force Sorting By Filename are explained in Sample Pack Mode Options.
MPC Expansion Processing
- Recreate Kits from MPC programs (.xpm / .xtd). If a pack contains MPC program or track files, the kits are rebuilt from those original layouts.
- Use Original MPC Layouts. With the Classic layout, follow the exact pad layouts of the original MPC kits.
Audio
- Convert AIFF Samples to WAV. See below.
Extra Output
- Create Extra Kit with Overfill Samples. Makes an extra “Overfill” kit from the samples left over after the last full kit.
The Edit Categories/Keywords button is at the bottom of this section. See Categories, Keywords & Colors.
Convert AIFF Samples to WAV #
Kit Maker reads .aif and .aiff samples everywhere, and treats them exactly like .wav files. This option controls whether those samples are converted to .wav on their way into your kits.
Two formats always convert, whatever this is set to:
16-Slice WAV: every kit is a single WAV file with your 16 samples stitched into it end to end.
OP-1 / OP-1 Field: every kit is a single sliced AIFF.
Impact never converts, whatever this is set to. Impact kits keep your AIFFs as they are, because converted WAVs fail to load in Studio Pro more often.
