Real Ableton Drum Racks, already organized and ready to load
Every kit shows up in your User Library › Presets › Instruments › Kit Maker Kits as a labeled Drum Rack, with kicks, snares and hats already on the right pads. Drag the Kit Maker Kits folder onto your Places sidebar and loading a new kit is a click away, in the desktop app and from Push.
Supports up to 7 banks.

Your Maschine Expansion kits work in Ableton, too
Own Native Instruments Maschine Expansions? Kit Maker reads them and rebuilds those sought-after drum kits as Ableton kits, so you get the Maschine sounds you love, right in Live, without leaving your setup. The Maschine Factory Library works too. See how to use Maschine in Ableton →

Swap kits, hear new sounds on your patterns
Kits use a consistent layout from kit to kit. Load a different kit on your drum pattern and hear your groove with brand new sounds.

Compatible with Push devices, including Push 3 standalone
When Push is controlling Live on your computer, your Kit Maker kits are already there in the User Library, ready on the pads. On Push 3 standalone, which has its own library, you copy the kit presets and their samples onto the device. Kit Maker keeps every sample in tidy, organized folders, so matching Push’s structure is straightforward. See how to transfer kits to Push 3 standalone →
Works with Ableton Live
Kit Maker builds standard Ableton Drum Rack presets (.adg) that load in Ableton Live 10, 11 and 12 through your User Library, on Mac and PC.

Questions, answered
Where do the kits show up in Ableton Live?
In your User Library, under Presets › Instruments › Kit Maker Kits. Add the kits to your Places sidebar for one-click access in Live.
Which versions of Ableton Live does it work with?
Ableton Live 10, 11 and 12, any edition that loads .adg Drum Rack presets. The kits also work with Ableton Push, including Push 3 and Push 3 standalone.
Can I use these kits with Ableton Push?
Yes. When Push is controlling Live on your computer, your kits are already there in the User Library. For Push 3 standalone (which has its own separate library), you copy the .adg presets and their samples onto the device. Kit Maker keeps the samples in tidy, organized folders, which makes matching Push’s folder structure much easier. Full walkthrough: how to transfer Ableton kits to Push 3 standalone.
Can it really convert my Maschine Expansions?
Yes. Kit Maker reads Native Instruments Maschine Expansions (and the Factory Library) and rebuilds those drum kits as Ableton Drum Racks (largely faithful, with a few limitations). Native Instruments has even featured it as an option for Expansion owners.
Do I need to own the sample packs already?
Yes. Kit Maker organizes packs you provide; it doesn’t include sounds of its own. Import the drum packs (or Maschine Expansions) you already own and it builds the kits.
Is it a subscription? Mac and PC?
No subscription. Kit Maker is a one-time purchase of $35. It runs on both macOS and Windows.
