They show up in Logic’s Library, ready to load
Kit Maker automatically creates real Logic kit presets, sorted by pack. Open Drum Machine Designer, choose the kit from the Library browser, and start playing.
Want to fill multiple banks? Kit Maker can fill up to three banks in one preset, so each preset has plenty of sounds.

Convert your Maschine Expansion kits to Logic, too
Kit Maker scans your Native Instruments Maschine Expansions and rebuilds their drum kits as Logic kit presets, labeled and organized by Expansion.

Colored pads with icons
Kit Maker colors the pads by drum type and sets each pad’s icon. Kick pads show a kick icon, snares show a snare icon, and so on.
Kits use a consistent layout from kit to kit. Load a different kit on your drum pattern and hear your groove with brand new sounds.

Works with Logic Pro
Kit Maker builds native kit preset files for Logic Pro’s Drum Machine Designer, tested on Logic Pro 11 and 12.
macOS (Apple Silicon). Logic Pro is Mac-only, so Logic kits are built on a Mac. Kit Maker itself also runs on Windows for every other format it makes.
Builds Logic’s native patch format. Not affiliated with Apple or Native Instruments.

Questions, answered
Where are the kits made?
In Logic’s own patch folder, under a Kit Maker Kits folder sorted by pack name. That’s why they show up in the Library browser next to Logic’s factory patches.
Do I have to drag samples onto the pads?
No. These are real Drum Machine Designer drum kits, so you click one from the Library and the whole kit loads at once, pads laid out, colored, and named. (Older Kit Maker versions used to handle Logic kits through its Numbered Files format workaround, which did mean dragging. This creates the actual preset for you instead of making you build it manually.)
Do I need to own the sample packs already?
Yes. Kit Maker organizes packs you provide; it doesn’t include sounds of its own. Drop in the drum packs (or Maschine Expansions) you already own and it builds the kits.
Can it convert my Maschine Expansions?
Yes. Kit Maker scans Native Instruments Maschine Expansions and rebuilds those kits as Logic Pro kits. Native Instruments has even featured it as an option for Expansion owners.
Is it a subscription?
No. Kit Maker is a one-time purchase of $39. Buy it once, use it as long as you like.
Mac and PC?
Kit Maker runs on macOS (Apple Silicon) and Windows. Logic Pro is Mac-only, though, so Logic kits are made on a Mac.
