# General

- **Choke Hi-Hats.** Open and closed hats cut each other off on playback, the way a real hi-hat does. Works for Ableton Live, MPC, Bitwig and Beatmaker 3, in both Sample Pack and Maschine modes.
- **Use Icons from Filenames.** Sets each pad's icon in Logic Pro and FL Studio (FPC) from the sample's name, so a kick gets a kick icon.
- **Group Toms onto Tom 1/2/3 pads (kit-based imports).** See [Group Toms](/docs/km3-layouts-and-pads/#group-toms).
- **Toms Follow Pad Layout.** Keeps Toms 1, 2 and 3 on the top-left three pads whenever you change layout. Turn it off if you've placed your tom pads by hand and want them to stay put.
- **Copy to Local Drive Before Processing.** Turn this on if packs on an external drive have trouble processing. A red "Copy to Local On" note shows on the main screen while it's on.
