# Beatmaker 3 (iOS)

Transfer your Beatmaker 3 kits to your iOS device and they load as presets. See [Transferring to iOS Devices](/docs/km3-transferring-to-ios-devices/).

Beatmaker 3 accepted sample audio file formats: `.wav`

Kits are saved in the `bmk2` format, which loads fine in Beatmaker 3. Empty pads show an `EMPTY.wav` file.

The Choke Hi-Hats option in Preferences works for Beatmaker 3 kits too, so a closed hat cuts off an open one.
