# 16-Slice WAV

This works with samplers that can auto-slice or play 16 equal divisions of a single WAV file.

Kits are written to the "16-Slice WAV Kits" folder, one WAV file per kit, named after the kit.

**Preferences:** you can set the **Max segment length** in Preferences.

Every kit is a full 16 equal slices, with silence filling shorter or missing samples, so each slice matches the right pad in your sampler.

There's also **Add silence between slices**, which helps samplers that find slice points by listening for transients.
